I've already enjoyed The Sörmland Trail (Sörmlandsleden) by foot but now its time to do it by canoe. The planned stretch is 44 km long and goes Åkers Styckebruk-Gnesta-Vagnhärad. I'm doing this trip together with a dear friend and a dog. We rent a canoe at Kanotkungen in Åkers Styckebruk.
The route require some lifting so a little trolley is also brought on the trip. Unfortunately we had one more travel partner on this trip; the heavy summer rain. But at least the evenings and nights doesn't rain. But the upside of this weather is that we are all alone out here. No humans, but a lot of nice wildlife. We get to see a lot of birds and also a close encounter with a moose. We don't have any trouble finding nice places to put our tent along the water stretch. Despite the heavy rain we had a really nice trip in the beautiful Södermanland.
